All families are encouraged to join Mrs Wilson and I along with our School Leaders, for the ANZAC DAY March from the Maroochy RSL on Friday April 25.
In our 101st year we would love to have our biggest ever representation at the March which leaves the Maroochy RSL at 8:30am.
We'd love you to come along and meet us at the corner of Memorial Ave and George Street by 8:10am so we can line up and be ready.
The March commences at 8:30am - the March goes along Second Avenue and onto The Esplanade heading towards the Cenotaph in Cotton Tree Park.
The March will end as we all cross onto the grassy area near the Cenotaph - and we usually move a few metres on towards the concrete path through the park. We ask all parents to promptly met us there to collect their child/children and to then attend the Service as a family group.
This then allows our school leaders and myself to move to the Service area so that we can be a part of the official ceremony.
Prep to Year 6 classes have this morning visited the annual Street Science Show in the Hall.
There has been chemcial reactions and changes - dry ice has caused a rubber handball to just drop to the floor without a bounce and once the ball has warmed again - the ball bounces and is ready for handball again!
The flame thrower is always popular and sparkes everyones attention especially when the loud bang occurs.
Maroochydore SHS is opening the Term 2 Bright Minds up to Year 5 students who are budding scientists and are keen to learn more about plant breeding and are willing to get their hands dirty!

Congratulations and well done to all 10, 11 and 12 year old students who participated in the cross country run on the last day of Term 1.
